NUVO PRESIDENT DAVID RODARTE ELECTED TO CEA BOARD AND COUNCIL POSITIONS
May 10, 2005, CINCINNATI, OH - David Rodarte, President and Chief Operating Officer of NuVo Technologies, the respected designer and manufacturer of automated home audio distribution products, has been elected to the TechHome Board of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and CEA’s MultiRoom Audio and Video Council. The CEA, an organization dedicated to increasing the growth of the consumer electronics industry, boasts a membership uniting more than 1,700 companies within the U.S. consumer technology industry.
As a member of CEA’s TechHome Board, Rodarte has been assigned as liaison, coordinator, and promoter for CEA TechHome to the homebuilder industry. He will also serve on TechHome’s Multi-Room Audio and Video Council.
Rodarte is President and Chief Operating Officer of NuVo Technologies. He joined NuVo Technologies in September of 2002. Prior to his work with NuVo he served as president for a mobile electronics accessory company. Rodarte has a reputation for rapidly accelerating businesses through market analysis, organizational effectiveness, and strategic planning. He will bring his enthusiasm and expertise to his board and council positions for the Consumer Electronics Association.
The TechHome Division represents the entire channel for home control and networking products. The mission of the Division is to increase sales and support of consumer electronics products by professional integrators. The Board is composed of manufacturers, integrators, and distributors.
CEA’s Multi-Room Audio Video (MRAV) Council is dedicated to raising awareness among consumers, homebuilders, and real estate agents of the value and benefits of multi-room entertainment media in the home. MRAV Council initiatives include work on technology and standards, market research, industry promotions, and relationship-building activities and events. Previously known as the Distributed Audio Subdivision, the new name reflects the technological advancements enabling consumers to stream both audio and video content throughout the home.
