Systems

How do I get album and song information on my control pads?
If you currently have a Simplese system (A4D), there is no compatible control pad that provides that information for this system. If you have an Essentia, Concerto or Renovia system, you can update control pads to: E6GCP, I8GCP, or CTP36 and have the information display on the control pads.

How do I adjust bass and treble?
From the Simplese keypads press and hold Mute and the Source 1 button. When the Source 1 button begins flashing use the volume up and down to adjust the bass as desired. Notice the LEDs show the level of bass currently selected. Adjust the treble similarly by pressing and holding the Mute and Source 2 buttons.

On the E6GCP and I8GCP go to Menu: Setup; Zone Settings; Treble or Bass.

On the CTP36 control pad go to: Menu; Settings; Setup; Zone Settings; Treble or Bass.

Can I have a system in my home if it was not wired with CAT5?
Yes, you can use the NuVo App from your iPhone or iPad to control the system in conjunction with a Music Port.*

*does not apply to Simplese systems

How many rooms or zones can I add to the system?
It depends on which system: Concerto can have a maximum of 16 rooms; Essentia and Renovia can have a maximum of 12 rooms; and Simplese can have a maximum of 8 rooms.

Which control pads are compatible with my Simplese system?
A4DKP

Which control pads are compatible with my Essentia system?
E6GCP, I8GCP, or CTP36

My control pads are really sensitive?
Contact your dealer to check the control pads.

Do I need an in-wall controller in every zone of my home?
No. You can use any combination of NuVo in-wall, wireless or apps to control the different zones of your home.

Will the I8GCP control pad work with my Concerto system (I8DM)?
No, the newer control pads are only compatible with the newer model Concerto (I8GM)

Does Renovia user X10?No. X10 was an early form of Powerline communication developed in 1975. Renovia uses the new HomePlug standard developed in 2005 for powerline communication. This specification uses higher frequencies and was designed to provide sufficient bandwidth, signal encryption, and error correction for audio distribution over powerlines.

Using my vaccum or hair dryer causes interference with my Renovia system.
Your vaccum or hair dryer is creating a lot of noise on the powerline. Try using a homeplug filter in the plug where you use such items.

How do I know that my home will work with Renovia?
Your installer will be able to do test of your home’s electrical wiring to make sure there are no defaults that would inhibit the Renovia system signal.

Will Renovia work with Aluminum wiring?
Yes. Aluminum wiring will not block Renovia signals.

Will Renovia work in homes with 2-wire powerlines?
No. Renovia is not designed to work with a 2-wire electrical system.

Will Renovia work if there is another powerline product being used in the home?
Renovia uses a proprietary discovery and control protocol that prevents interference with other powerline devices. Renovia will adapt and coexist with them.

Music Sources

Do I have to use NuVo music sources with my system?
No. Any of the NuVo audio systems allow you to use non-NuVo music sources by way of the RCA or line input, however, song and album art can only be received through NuVo music sources.

How many total music sources can I listen to through my NuVo audio system?
It depends on which system: Concerto, Essentia, and Renovia can have a maximum of 6 music sources while Simplese can have a maximum of 4 music sources.

Does the iPod Touch and iPhone work with the NuVoDocks?
Yes. The Apple device (iPod or iPhone) may need the latest firmware update from Apple.

What kind of audio files does the Music Port playback [MPS4(E)]?
MP3, WMA (unprotected), M4A (unprotected), and WAV. iTunes allows for downloaded protected files to be converted to unprotected at a charge of $.30 per file.

How many simultaneous music streams can the Music Port [MPS4(E)] play?
Up to four.

How do I listen to Internet Radio through my NuVo audio system?
The Music Port [MPS4(E)] devices allows you to connect to your home network and stream music from Internet Radio Services (Pandora, SIRIUS, TuneIn and others) and from any music library on any computer in the home.

How do I listen to music on my computer through my NuVo audio system?
The Music Port [MPS4(E)] devices allows you to connect to your home network and stream music from Internet Radio Services (Pandora, SIRIUS, TuneIn and others) and from any music library on any computer in the home.

Will Pandora Radio still have a limited number of skips per hour and commercials via the Music Port [MPS4(E)] ?
Yes. The number of skips allowed is based on your individual service plan (free or paid) with Pandora.

Can I have the music on my computer automatically sync to my Music Port [MPS4(E)] when I download new music?
Yes. Contact your installer setup this feature of the system.
